Welcome to Primary 3. We hope you had a good holiday and have settled back into the school routine. Here are some bits of information you might find useful to start you off.
P3a are having PE on a Monday and Thursday and P3b are having PE on a Tuesday and Wednesday so can you please make sure your child has PE kit for these days.
Spelling homework will be slightly different this year. We will collect the homework in on a daily basis. Your child should write the first 5 words out 3 times on a Monday, the second 5 words 3 times on a Tuesday and they should choose 4 words to write in a sentence on Wednesday. On Thursday take the time to go over the words for the test on Friday.
Could you please sign your child's reading record when you have heard them read at home and please write any comments you wish to make about their reading.
Our topic this term is 'The Woodland' so we are going for a walk in the woods on Wednesday afternoon. Your child has a permission letter home. Can we please have it back before Wednesday. Could you please send your child in with wellies/boots and a waterproof jacket that day just in case it has been wet.
