Message from Mrs Wyroslawska
Thank you to all parents and other family members who came to Bee's Book Bonanza on Thursday. It was lovely to see so many of you. Bee's Books will start coming home after the October holidays. If anyone would like to come and help for an hour on Tuesday afternoons with this, please contact me or Mrs Strachan.
As Mrs Wyroslawska said thank you to all of the family members who managed to make it to our 'Bees Book Bonanza'. We were thrilled to see so many of you there and want you all to know that we really appreciate your continued support! The children thoroughly enjoyed their performance and asked if they could do it all over again!!

This week takes another new slant again - we will be taking part in Book Week where we will be focussing on Mr Men and Little Miss. Please ask the children about Mr Bump's Hospital and Little Miss Greedy's cafe where they will be given opportunities to take part in exciting role play. All of our lessons this week will focus on the Mr Men books - if you have any resources we could possibly use please write your name inside and pass them to one of the teachers, thank you.
Parents' Evening is on Thursday 8th - if you do not have an appointment time please let us know. We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
Week Beginning 28.09.09
First of all we would like to thank all of the parents and grand parents who managed to come into school to visit us on Wednesday and Thursday last week, as you could all see we were very excited to show you how independent we are becoming! Our teacher's were very impressed and we were very proud of ourselves too.
There will be a slight change in class over the next few weeks again - Mrs Wilkes will be teaching us our Jolly Phonics. Miss Skene will be teaching us some Maths, where we will be beginning to use our knowledge of numbers 1-10 to work on some addition problems. Mrs Settle will be teaching us about Harvest and will be introducing us to Discovery Dog who loves science challenges! Please help us to remember our sounds and numbers at home and test us as often as possible - look out for new books and sounds!
We have been very busy in class learning a Bees song for the launch of 'Bees Book Bonanza' on Thursday 1st October (at 2.45 pm) and would love to see as many parents and grandparents in school again as possible. We will sing your our super song and you can then help us to choose our very first book for sharing at home. Adults can then enjoy a cup of tea, a yummy cake and a chat in the staff room whilst we get changed for home time. Hope to see you there!
If possible, could the children please wear a black T-Shirt on Thursday? (dressing up as bees) Thank you for your support!

The children are very excited to be coming into school full days as of Monday 31st August, hopefully there won't be too many sleepyheads in the afternoon...including the teachers! Please ensure that your child has either a packed lunch or money for a school dinner. Please remember to check school bags for this terms P1 newsletter. We welcome your comments and will do our very best to reply to them (if necessary) as soon as we can!
